This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 is owned by Michael Templemans, however it was imported into OZ in 1993 by Les Laurey. Les purchaced the car in Orange County California, where it was still registered and he supposedly drove it around over there for a while before bringing it over here.

Michael Templemans purchased the car in March 1994 after seeing it at the Bathurst Swap Meet. He had to do a bit of mechanical work to it to get it registered (mostly steering and brakes) apart from a new interior that was fitted in the states the car is largely original.

It is a " Z Code " car, 390 cubic inch FE Block V8 with a four barrel Carburetor and Automatic Transmission, one interesting feature of this car is the Swing Away Steering Column which was normally only fitted to Thunderbirds, Michael has only seen one other Galaxie with that option.
